About my M3
My Dakar yellow 1995 M3 has been my track day buddy for 12 years. The car currently rides on a Ground Control "Serious School/Medium Racing" coilover kit with camber plates, rear control arms, sway bars, monoballs, factory X-brace, Turner chassis reinforcements and E30 M3 aluminum front control arms. Brakes are Brembo all around with slotted rotors and front cooling ducts. Engine has Schrick cams, Supersprint headers/resonator/muffler, Dinan intake/mass air sensor/throttle body and custom software, Turner underdrive pullies and euro oil cooler. A UUC short-shifter and M3 Lightweight (lower geared) differential with Rogue finned diff cover complete the driveline. The interior includes Recaro SRD seats, Schroth 5pt. harnesses, T.C. Kline rollbar, M3 euro airbag wheel, and removal of the rear seat - replaced with "RS" look upholstered panels. The car rides on 17" Michelin Super Sport tires with BBS RC wheels for street, Toyo RA-1's on BBS RGR's for the track. Only body add-on is a BMW M3 Motorsport rear wing. The car is a very balanced forgiving car when driven on the track or the street. It's firm, yet no worse than a modern GT3. While this car is kind of "old-school" now, it gives grief to a lot modern hardware on track days at Laguna Seca and Infineon. While I love my current '08 E92 M3 and the E46 M3 that I had before that, this much lighter car is still my baby!
